The 2009 Fall Sunday School Quarter is from September through the end of November.

The following are the descriptions/locations of the Adult classes.

Instructing a Child's Heart

      The essence of the class is best summed up by the following:
      From interaction with their peers to the instruction and correction that they receive at home, children interpret their experience from a worldview that seeks to answer their fundamental questions:
- Who am I?
- What do I exist for?
- Where can I find joy?
      We need to provide our children with a consistent, persuasive, biblical framework for understanding the world God has made and their place in it.

The Gospel for Real Life

Room 44 in the Lower Level of the Sanctuary

      The Gospel for Real Life (Jerry Bridges) is in reality nothing more than a clear, scriptural unpacking of the gospel - just what it is, all of the benefits it entails, all of the wonderful and various things that Christ accomplished in his work of redemption. It is heavy on the "gospel" part, and hence, the "real life" applications cannot but follow naturally. For when we really understand the gospel, there is no area of my life that is not dramatically impacted.
      In sum, this is a book about the gospel: it is understandable, comprehensive, and scriptural in its language, illustrations, and explanations. And because it is about the gospel, the true gospel that is powerful in its impact on who we are and where we are going, it is therefore, by default, about the gospel for real life.

Gospel of John (Part 1)

      The Gospel of John offers us unique and rich insights into the person of Jesus Christ that are distinct from the other Gospels. It places special focus on the Deity of the Savior.
      As A.W. Pink comments, "The purpose of this fourth Gospel is to show that the One who was born in a manger and afterward died on the Cross had higher glories than those of King, that He who humbled Himself to take the Servant place was, previously, equal with God, that the One who became the Son of Man was none other than, and ever remains, the Only Begotten of the Father."
      In this first of a two part class that will conclude in the winter quarter, we will study the first 12 chapters of the Gospel of John, which covers the public ministry of Jesus Christ.

      The first six weeks of the quarter, Pastor Tony introduces visitors and regular attenders to Redeemer, covering topics such as the history, leadership, theology, and ministries of Redeemer.
